Illustrator E.H. Shepard  is best known for creating the image of Winnie the Pooh and his acquaintances – and some significant pencil marks by the great man have been  discovered in Derbyshire, as Vivienne reports.

IT IS RARE to have original works by illustrator artists appear in auction and they are always well contested when they do appear. Illustrators often have a big advantage when their original works are sold at auction.
