The National Trust is marking 50 years of owning Sudbury Hall in south Derbyshire with a very unusual project, as Nicola Lisle discovers.
VISITORS to Sudbury Hall this year are in for a shock as the National Trust has given the place a startling new look – and it’s already causing a bit of a stir. To celebrate 50 years of ownership, the Trust has taken the Hall back to the way it looked in 1967, so that people can see it in its original state and appreciate the work involved in turning it into a visitor attraction…
