    : This dynamic solid silver toast rack designed by Dr Christopher Dresser, c.1880, is only one of seven produced for Alessi by Brian Asquith, hallmarked Sheffield 1992. It weighs 15.5oz and is presented in a fitted box. It made £1,950 in the recent specialist auction.

    A Victorian 18ct gold diamond set snake ring, it made £1,800 in the recent specialist auction. Weighing 7.59g it is interesting to note that buying this antique ring at auction the buyer saved up to 0.42 tonnes of CO2e compared to buying a new ring. Below: A 17th Century antique mourning ring with skull detailing, engraved ‘Anth. Lybbe Ar: Obijt 24th Sept 1674’. Antony Lybbe lived through the era of the English Civil War. The ring made £1,700 in the recent specialist auction.
