Title: Stag (Bruce)
Photographer’s DESCRIPTION: This impressive Stag, who was known as ‘Bruce’ amongst the locals, was a firm favourite for spotting out on the moors. With fantastic antlers, he made a striking subject to photograph. Unfortunately, Bruce passed away last winter, and it just doesn’t feel the same without him in this location. This was is one of my favourites too during the rut a couple of years ago. It was a stunning evening with great light. Bruce didn’t mind us, but would keep popping up whilst grazing. This gave me an opportunity to get a shot with Hope Valley in the distance as the sun was low in the sky starting to set.
