A fascinating tour of many tors!

GREAT WALK THIS MONTH, following the tree-lined shore of Derwent Reservoir, then into the valley of Abbey Brook, which becomes an impressive steep-sided  gorge in its upper reaches. Then it’s onto open moorland, taking in Lost Lad and the highest point on our walk, Back Tor. We head south along Derwent Edge, passing more fascinating rock features, like Cakes of Bread and the Salt Cellar, and enjoying some sublime views.
