DAVID Birchall freely admits that, like a few more of us, he didn’t get ‘into’ photography until he was about to become a father. “I realised I would need a camera to take some pictures of the new arrival,” he said. “A keen amateur photographer friend sold me his spare Zenith E 35mm camera, and I found after a lot of trial and error that I could produce half-decent results.
