An organic farm in Matlock prides itself not only on its high quality produce but its work in the community. Catherine Roth talks to Tim Sidaway about the benefits of locally-produced food, finding healing in the land, and his vision for the future.
UNTIL HIS ARRIVAL in Derbyshire in 2011, Tim Sidaway was not a farmer but a graphic designer, running his own agency in Bedfordshire. However, he enjoyed a keen interest in food becoming involved in a local food network, which in time led him to develop more ambitious plans. Finding the call of the land to be stronger than the lure of the office, Tim began working on a business plan outlining a plan to put food and the community at the heart of his planned venture.
