A man with a real passion for landscape

Colin Halliday

Wild, barren landscapes of high moorland, steep dales and verdant river valleys, the Peak District provides a visual feast. More than 22 million visitors a year flee the congestion of towns and cities to partake of its views… and Anne Bannister meets one who has now made it his family and artistic home.

FOR MOST, the click of a camera is their only means of capturing the beauty or grandeur of the moment but for Derbyshire artist Colin Halliday, the process is a far more laborious one – although that is not a word he would use himself.
