THE word tranquility has become synonymous with the spa experience. Yet all too often, the promise of true relaxation is at odds with the expanse of larger spas. Somehow space encourages noise, which then detracts from the experience. Would a more intimate venue afford relaxation without compromising the ‘full’ spa experience? I went along to find out at the only spa in Derbyshire to be awarded the Good Spa Guide’s highest ranking of ‘5 bubbles’ − the Garden Secret Spa at Chesterfield’s Ringwood Hall Hotel.
