Lovely landscape that inspired a horror story!

OUR walk this month takes in a part of Derbyshire that inspired the creator of Sherlock Holmes  to write a horror story! Yes, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle had a convalescent stay in Castleton, then wrote The Terror of Blue John Gap, a short story published in The Strand Magazine in 1910 which later became part of a collection of horror stories…
