A regional project that has transformed hundreds of young lives is at risk, as Barrie Farnsworth reports.

A TRAIL-BLAZING project that has helped turn around the lives of many young people across north Derbyshire looks destined to close at the end of this year when Big Lottery funding runs out.

Now Talent Match (Sheffield City Region)  is  appealing to local authorities, employers and stakeholders  to back their fight for survival.

In Bassetlaw, Bolsover, Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire, the Talent Match programme has worked with more than five hundred 18-25 year olds since it started in 2014. It has successfully helped 167 clients into employment. Some 107 were still in sustained employment six months later and the rest are still on their journeys towards meaningful work, having taken up apprenticeships, voluntary work, work placements, full time education or part time employment…
