THIS year a new display of roses will be on show at the award-winning gardens at Renishaw Hall, which open to the public later this month. Replanted last year, this area of the formal garden around the Swimming Pool Fountain has been laid out with a colour-ordered scheme. And it includes a new rose named in honour of the 90th birthday of Lady Sitwell – mother of Renishaw Hall’s owner, Alexandra Sitwell – and the rose, known as “Rosa Lady Sitwell”, should flower in July…
