LOCKDOWN has had an effect on every part of our lives – and our wardrobes are no exception. With loungewear overtaking tailoring as the work attire du jour, and our ‘going out’ outfits eschewed in favour of home comfies, we’ve had a serious rethink about how we approach daily dressing. And thanks to lockdown, the words ‘heel’, ‘stiletto’, and ‘wedge’ have been noticeably absent from the fashion lexicon for the past few months. Because who would opt to wear sky-high stompers when flats have become more than acceptable all-day wear?..
