Pure waters, excellent scenery and great beer!

Now that pubs are open once again for indoor supping and dining, it seemed only right to carry a superb hike this month from CAMRA’s Peak District Pub Walks book!

THE pure waters of the Lathkill and the Bradford have cut deep valleys north and south of Youlgrave, which sits above them, dominated by its impressive church tower. The two rivers have their confluence at the pretty hamlet of Alport, visited towards the end of the circuit. There is excellent scenery throughout this walk, with just one stiff climb (on tarmac) up to Over Haddon, where the reliable Good Beer Guide regular, the Lathkil Hotel, awaits.
