Heritage Open Days will be held in Derbyshire throughout 10 days in September.
Part of England’s largest festival of history and culture, they bring people together in free events to celebrate heritage and community.

North Lees Hall, Birley Lane, Hathersage, S32 1DY
A 16th-century tower house, surrounded by farmland, within the Peak District National Park. Enjoy a two-mile guided walk through farmland and discover 2,000 years of history. Sunday 20th September, 11am to 3pm. Pre-booking not required.
The Bonsall Framework Knitters Workshop, Yew Tree Farm, The Dale, Bonsall DE4 2AY
After 115 years, the workshop is re-opening with a weekend of history talks, tours of the fully restored building and a chance to experience a live demonstration of framework knitting by the last commercial framework knitter in the UK. Saturday 19th September – 10am to 4pm and Sunday 20th September, 10am to 4pm. Pre-booking preferred.
Derbyshire Gypsy Liaison Group and Tales from the Waggon Steps, Moor End Cottage, Moor End, Beeley, DE4 2NR
See an illustrative exhibition with information about everyday life of Romany Gypsy people in Britain from Victorian times to present. Have a go at a paper flower making activity and find information about the waggon’s restoration. Saturday 12th September, 11am to 4pm and Sunday 13th September, 11am to 4pm. Pre-booking not required.
