I LOVE IT on those mornings when I wake and see snow,” says artist Sarah Parkin. “They are my favourite days for going outside to paint.” But snowy days are few and far between and fortunately Sarah’s passion for painting landscapes in watercolour isn’t restricted just to wintry days, as she ventures out whatever the season. Living in Starkholmes, nestled under Riber Hillside and with views of Matlock, she’s ideally placed to take advantage of her local environment. “There are so many views, and so much to paint within a few miles,” she says. “I appreciate getting to work on a painting and thinking about what to paint next.”…
